8.2.22
Today we have learned about Tim Peake's life; as it was before he became an astronaut, how he trained to become an astronaut and the extraordinary adventures he had whilst on the ISS. The children were captivated with his life and they wrote down the questions that they would ask him, should he ever come to Apples class!
The National Space Centre (February 2022)
We visited the National Space Centre as part of our topic on Neil Armstrong. The planetarium was a fantastic experience which was extremely informative for the children. We also had a rocket building session where we made paper rockets and then launched them to the moon.
West Midlands Safari Park (October 2021)
For our dinosaurs topic we had a school trip to West Midlands Safari Park which was so much fun! The children had a guided tour through the Land of the Living Dinosaurs, travelling through the different eras. We also enjoyed the drive through the safari park where we spotted all kinds of amazing animals.
