Welcome!

Thank you for considering Little Eaton as a school for your child. We want to help you get a good feel for our school to assist in your decision-making process.

Guided Tour and Pupil Video

• Start by watching our guided tour and pupil video, created earlier this year, to learn more about our school.

Open Session

• Join us for an open session on the 17th of October from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to experience the school firsthand and meet our teachers, leadership team, governors, and Year 6 Ambassadors.

Guided Tours

• We also offer guided tours on the 12th of November, and the 10th of December at 10am. If you cannot attend these dates, please contact the school office to arrange an individual tour at enquiries@littleeaton.derbyshire.sch.uk or call 01332 831471.

Information and Transition

• We will be updating this page with useful information about the school, how we will manage the transition, and what your child’s year in our reception class will look like. This page will grow over the coming weeks and may change based on government guidance. Rest assured, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for your child.

Wrap Around Care

We are very pleased to offer a wrap-around care for our pupils and families. The provision is run in-house by the school using our existing facilities.

Breakfast Club:

Breakfast club children will engage in activities to encourage a calm and yet stimulating start to the morning (reading, playing card games etc. There will be no computers, TV or other screen time at breakfast club.) There will be a healthy breakfast including options of toast, cereal, milk and hot chocolate.

Monday to Friday 7:45am until beginning of the school day. 

£5.00 session (payable in advance)

After School Club - £6 per session Mon-Fri (payable in advance), £10 until 5.30pm Tues & Weds Only

There will be a range of fun play-based activities linked to the school’s curriculum principles, including: 

• Physical Activity (e.g. organised ball games, use of play equipment, skipping ropes etc)
• Arts and crafts
• Digital games
• Team games / Board games
• Quiet reading etc.

There will also be the opportunity to complete homework tasks.
On occasion, age-appropriate (‘U’) films may be shown. 

KS1 and Year 3 & 4 children will be picked up from their class by a member of the after-school team while Year 5 & 6 children make their own way to the ASC at the end of the school day.

All payments are via ParentPay in advance. Or Childcare Vouchers (please discuss with the office).
