Parent information for Y2 PSHE changes lessons

Over the next few weeks, children in Year 2 will have several lessons about growing up and relationships. These lessons will be taught as a whole class using the Twinkl scheme of learning.

The lessons will cover the following concepts: 

• Our bodies

• name the main parts of boys’ and girls’ bodies using scientific terminology

• Is it okay?

• Understand parts of their body covered by underwear are private
• understand how to respect their own and other people’s bodies.

• We are all unique

• understand that they are all different and different people like different things.

• Your family, My family

• Know about different types of families including those that may be different to their own

• Getting older

• describe how they will change as they get older
• prepare to transition to KS2
