Dear Parents and Carers,

Your child has the opportunity to take part in Bikeability cycle training provided by Amber Valley School Sport Partnership on Tuesday 14th April, Wednesday 15th April, and Thursday 16th April 2026. Training will be delivered during school hours.

Bikeability is the government’s national cycle training programme which develops children’s confidence, skills, and understanding of how to cycle safely on today’s roads. All training is delivered by qualified and DBS‑checked instructors.

Parents/carers must complete the online consent form for their child’s year group:

Group 1: 9:00 – 10:30
Group 2: 10:45 – 12:00

Year 5 – Level 1 Recap
Group A: 1:00 – 2:00
Group B: 2:00 – 3:00

Wednesday 15th April 2026
Year 5 – Level 2 Training

Group B – Morning: 9:00 – 12:00
Group A – Afternoon: 1:00 – 3:10

Thursday 16th April 2026
Year 5 – Level 2 Training

Group A – Morning: 9:00 – 12:00

What Your Child Will Need:


- A roadworthy bicycle (no stabilisers)
- A secure, well‑fitting helmet
- Weather‑appropriate clothing
