Welcome to our school - full of happy, hard-working children and teachers. We want every child to participate fully, respect other people, be independent and determined in achieving excellence.
Further to my newsletter, I would like to request that children wear lightweight/appropriate clothing to school on Monday and Tuesday (sportswear/shorts/dress/non-uniform). Please also remember to pre-sun cream your children and supply them with a hat and water bottle. We will tailor our curriculum in light of the heat and physical activities and being outside will be kept to a minimum.
Each family will have its own unique situation, and should you feel that bringing your child to school in the extreme heat is detrimental to your child or family's health, please keep them at home and inform the school office.
Over the next few days will continue to monitor the situation and act within the guidance of public health and the department for education. We will continue to update you through the school website and messaging service.
