Welcome to our school - full of happy, hard-working children and teachers. We want every child to participate fully, respect other people, be independent and determined in achieving excellence.
Whilst it was very hot today, the children were fantastic and we all had a very calm time in school. Our children were kept in the shade except when transitioning between classrooms to meet their new teacher or going to lunch.
We expect tomorrow to be the same as today and we will continue with the same protocols to keep the children safe. We will not be running any PE sessions and please remember, cool clothing, sun hats and drinks.
As mentioned yesterday, please consider your own situation, and should you feel that bringing your child to school in the extreme heat is detrimental to your child or family's health, please keep them at home and inform the school office.
Fortunately, the hall is a relatively cool space and therefore we expect to be able to continue with our Year 6 leavers performance tomorrow night at 7.00pm for those parents invited. Parents, please bring cool drinks to the show, and judging by the small amount that I saw today, you are in for a real treat!
Should we need to reconsider the event we will be in touch ASAP.
Kind regards,
Paul Schumann
