Welcome to our school - full of happy, hard-working children and teachers. We want every child to participate fully, respect other people, be independent and determined in achieving excellence.
Welcome to our School Council 2022-2023
A new school council is elected each year, with every class from Y1 to Y6 nominating representatives. This creates a central group that speaks on behalf of the whole school and makes decisions about school life. We value the opinions of our pupils and the School Council gives pupils a forum to share these opinions with the Headteacher and other members of staff. We also elect two additional Year 6 pupils as school Presidents to lead the team.
We are delighted that our School Council Team is now back working together after our brief return to the bubble system. They are now fully focused on working towards the Eco-School Green Flag Award.
Eco-Schools is an environmental education programme and is managed in England by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, the anti-litter campaign for England. Eco-schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a simple framework to help make sustainability an integral part of school life. There are 9 key areas of Eco-schools; Energy, Water, Biodiversity, School Grounds, Healthy Living, Transport, Litter, Waste and Global Citizenship.
Currently, the school has an Eco Bronze Award.
